What Is Jojoba Oil?

Jojoba oil is a golden, odorless liquid wax that comes from the seeds of the jojoba plant. While it is called an oil, it is actually very similar in structure to the natural oils your skin produces, also known as sebum.

Because of this, it is highly compatible with your skin and tends to absorb easily without feeling heavy.

Organic jojoba oil is also naturally rich in vitamin E and antioxidants. It helps moisturize the skin, support the skin barrier, and keep oil production balanced.

Why We Use It

On its own, jojoba oil is lightweight, gentle, and unlikely to clog pores. It works well for many different skin types, including sensitive skin.

But what makes it really valuable is how it works alongside high-quality suet tallow.

Tallow is naturally rich and deeply moisturizing, but it also contains a higher amount of oleic acid. For some skin types, that can feel a little too heavy on its own.

Jojoba oil helps balance that out.

By blending organic jojoba oil with our tallow, we are able to round out the fatty acid profile and create something that feels more balanced on the skin. The result is a tallow face cream that still provides deep moisture, but feels smoother, lighter, and easier to use daily.

Why Not Other Oils?

Some tallow skincare brands use oils like olive oil or avocado oil in their formulas.

While those oils can be beneficial, they tend to have a shorter shelf life and can feel heavier on the skin.

We chose unrefined organic jojoba oil for a reason. It is more stable, more compatible with the skin, and generally gentler, especially for the face.

It helps support your skin’s natural barrier while keeping the formula versatile enough to use on both the face and body.

We use unrefined, organic jojoba oil. Nothing added and nothing unnecessary.

It is carefully chosen to work in balance with our pure, 100% grass-fed suet tallow.
